As 91快播 returns to normal operations, we want to acknowledge the profound impact Hurricane Helene has had on our area. Cleveland County was hit much harder than anticipated. Many students and staff experienced power outages and property damage; some are still dealing with the storm’s aftermath. While the cleanup process will be extensive, please know that the entire 91快播 family stands with you during this difficult time.

We are incredibly fortunate that the College sustained no major damage during the storm; however, we recognize that many in our community were not as lucky. The College is committed to supporting our Yeti family as we navigate the days ahead. Students who need assistance with storm-related issues, please don’t hesitate to use our Student Support Services. Our staff will work to connect you with the resources available in our community.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by Hurricane Helene, in Cleveland County and beyond. Remember, we are all part of the Yeti family, and we will get through this together.

Stay safe and take care of one another. 鉂わ笍

The Small Business Center at 91快播 has announced a 鈥淗ow to Start a Small Business鈥 seminar on Tuesday, March 12, at 6:00 p.m., at its new satellite office in the former SunTrust Bank building at 700 West King Street in Kings Mountain.

If you are considering starting a business, the presentation will help you understand what is needed to begin. Would you like the structure of your business to be a sole proprietor, partnership, limited liability company [LLC], S-corporation, C-corporation? Have you registered the business with the Register of Deeds office? Do you have an Employer Identification Number [EIN]? Will the county or city zoning ordinances allow your business to be located at your preferred address? How will you market your products or services? Do you have a business plan?

To register for the seminar, contact Seve Padgett at 704-669-4146 or email padgetts@clevelandcc.edu. If you would like to discuss your plans for starting or growing your business, call or email for an appointment.

鈥淎s the second largest city in Cleveland County, we would like to provide Kings Mountain with more convenient access to Small Business Center resources,鈥 said Steve Padgett, director. 鈥淓conomic development is increasing in and around Kings Mountain, making the east side of Cleveland County an area of opportunity for small business growth.鈥

The mission of the Small Business Center is to increase the success rate and number of viable small businesses in Cleveland County. The center provides high quality, readily accessible assistance to prospective and existing small business owners. The goal of the center is job creation and retention.

鈥淪mall business is an important part of our community,鈥 said Dr. Jason Hurst, president of 91快播. 鈥淲e are honored to support our local entrepreneurs through the services provided by the Small Business Center.鈥
