This course provides an examination of the various psychological disorders, as well as theoretical, clinical, and experimental perspectives of the study of psychopathology. Emphasis is placed on terminology, classification, etiology, assessment, and treatment of the major disorders. Upon completion, students should be able to distinguish between normal and abnormal behavior patterns as well as demonstrate knowledge of etiology, symptoms, and therapeutic techniques. Students are taught basic skills to assist in the assessment of disorders. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA and ICAA as a general education course in Social/Behavioral Sciences.

This course introduces medical office administrative procedures. Topics include appointment processing, written and oral communications, medical records, patient orientation, and safety. Upon completion, students should be able to perform basic administrative skills within the medical environment.

This course provides medical office procedures in both economic and management skills. Topics include physical plant maintenance, equipment and supplies, liability coverage, medical economics, and introductory insurance procedures. Upon completion, students should be able to manage the economics of the medical office and supervise personnel.

This course covers command-level operations for multi-company/agency operations involving fire and non-fire emergencies. Topics include advanced use of the Incident Command System (ICS), advanced incident analysis, command-level fire operations, and control of both man-made and natural major disasters. Upon completion, students should be able to describe proper and accepted systems for the mitigation of emergencies at the level of overall scene command.

This course provides advanced knowledge in competencies in hardware and operating system technologies for computer technicians to support personal computers. Emphasis is placed on configuring and upgrading; diagnosis and troubleshooting; as well as preventive maintenance of hardware and system software. Upon completion, students should be able to install, configure, diagnose, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain basic networking on personal computers.

This course covers advanced programming skills required to design Internet applications and interactive web content. Emphasis is placed on the programming techniques required to develop Internet applications, interactive web content, and frameworks, and using libraries. Upon completion, students should be able to design, code, debug, and document Internet-based programming solutions to various real-world problems.

This course is designed to provide individualized experience in advanced practice, education, circulating, and managerial skills. Emphasis is placed on developing and demonstrating proficiency in skills for advanced practice. Upon completion, students should be able to assume leadership roles in a chosen specialty area.

Emphasis is placed on advanced practice in complex surgical specialties, educational methodologies, and managerial skills. This course covers advanced comfort systems for residential and commercial applications. Emphasis is placed on the application, maintenance, and servicing of residential and commercial advanced comfort systems. Upon completion, students should be able to test, analyze, troubleshoot, and service multiple types of residential and commercial advanced comfort systems.
