NSA Designates 91快播 a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense
CCC has been designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (NCAE-CD) by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. This designation signifies that 91快播 has met the rigorous requirements set by the two sponsoring agencies, has a robust cybersecurity-related curriculum, and is committed to graduating knowledgeable, skilled cybersecurity professionals.
Susan Randall, information technology instructor and department chair, led the project, working with other staff and faculty to complete the comprehensive, detailed application process. 鈥淭his was not an easy journey. The application process is thorough, as it should be,鈥 said Randall, 鈥渂ut it is worth the effort. This designation gives our graduates an advantage when talking to potential employers.鈥
The first step was to demonstrate that the College offers at least one high-quality program of study in cybersecurity. Although 91快播 offers multiple degrees related to cybersecurity, the faculty chose to submit the Associate in Applied Science in Information Technology 鈥 Network Technician as the first program of study for validation. Once the NSA approved the program of study, the College applied for the NCAE-CD designation. The entire process took about 18 months.
鈥淭his is an exciting moment for our cybersecurity program,鈥 said Dr. Jason Hurst, 91快播鈥檚 president, 鈥渁nd another example of our commitment to providing students with high-quality training so they can excel in their chosen careers.鈥
The National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program seeks to promote quality academic programs that help produce the nation鈥檚 cyber workforce.
