This course is designed to examine the issues and challenges facing law enforcement today through the study of real-world scenarios. Topics include professionalism, leadership, communication, diversity, and community relationships. Upon completion, students should be able to exhibit leadership abilities, demonstrate the importance of verbal and non-verbal communication, and display the professionalism and decorum required of public safety personnel.

This course covers résumé writing, interview skills, and the preparation and presentation of an art portfolio. Emphasis is placed on the preparation of a portfolio of original artwork, the preparation of a photographic portfolio, approaches to résumé writing, and interview techniques. Upon completion, students should be able to photograph and present a digital portfolio and write an effective résumé. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA and ICAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.

This course is designed to expand topics covered in ANS 130. Emphasis is placed on management techniques as they relate to brooding, growing, and housing poultry and the environmental needs of various types of poultry. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze and respond to management and production problems as they occur.

This course provides a laboratory component to complement ANS 230. Emphasis is placed on laboratory and field experience within poultry management. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a practical understanding of poultry management and production issues as they occur in the small scale and commercial poultry industries.

This course provides an introduction to the poultry industry. Topics include anatomy and physiology, reproduction, incubation, environmental issues, and husbandry. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of poultry production and the economic and environmental impact of the poultry industry locally, regionally, state-wide, and internationally.

This course introduces the concepts within the three domains of the individual, healthcare, and nursing. Emphasis is placed on the concepts within each domain including assessment, clinical decision making, professional behaviors, caring interventions, biophysical and psychosocial concepts, communication, collaboration, teaching/learning, safety, ethical principles, legal issues, informatics, and evidence-based practice. Upon completion, students should be able to provide safe nursing care across the lifespan incorporating the concepts identified in this course.

This course is designed to further develop the concepts within the three domains of the individual, nursing, and healthcare. Emphasis is placed on the concepts within each domain including clinical decision making, caring interventions, biophysical and psychosocial concepts, communication, collaboration, teaching and learning, accountability, safety, informatics, and evidence-based practice. Upon completion, students should be able to provide safe nursing care across the lifespan incorporating the concepts identified in this course.

This course is designed to assimilate the concepts within the three domains of the individual, healthcare, and nursing. Emphasis is placed on biophysical and psychosocial concepts, professional behaviors, healthcare systems, health policy, and quality improvement. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide safe, quality, and individualized entry-level nursing care.

This course is designed to develop topics which are fundamental to the study of Calculus. Emphasis is placed on solving equations and inequalities, solving systems of equations and inequalities, and analysis of functions (absolute value, radical, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic) in multiple representations. Upon completion, students should be able to select and use appropriate models and techniques for finding solutions to algebra-related problems with and without technology. This course is a Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) course and has been approved to transfer under the CAA and ICAA as a general education course in Mathematics for the Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees.

This course is designed to develop an understanding of topics which are fundamental to the study of Calculus. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of trigonometric functions in multiple representations, right and oblique triangles, vectors, polar coordinates, conic sections, and parametric equations. Upon completion, students should be able to select and use appropriate models and techniques for finding solutions to trigonometry-related problems with and without technology. This course is a Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) course and has been approved to transfer under the CAA and ICAA as a general education course in Mathematics for the Associate in Science degree.
